Sustainability
We aim to improve quality of urban life as well as the quality of work for our colleagues.
Our contribution to a more sustainable mobility
To contribute to an environment that is worth living in, we give our best every day as your reliable partner for sustainable mobility. At APCOA, it is our responsibility to:
- grow as a company in innovative and environmentally friendly ways
- bring parking, sustainable mobility and urban life together
- contribute to a better future with our innovations
- act as an integral part of the urban ecosystem by reducing CO2 emissions, conserving resources and by improving the overall quality of life.
We are aware that these goals are best achieved by conducting business responsibly and by consistently pursuing our sustainability goals. To make our group-wide ESG initiative a success, we are rapidly advancing our activities around its three main pillars “Environment”, “Social” and “Governance”. Read the current APCOA UK Sustainability Report to find out more about our approach to shaping the future of parking and about the progress we are making. Environment
We are committed to measuring our Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. To do so, we are partnering with First Climate. We are reporting annually on our progress toward our carbon reduction targets and the related initiatives we have taken on our path to achieving net zero.
Social
Our people are our business, and we are proud to employ colleagues from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences. To provide an attractive workplace, we have a group-wide social policy in accordance with the UN Global Compact that complies with the according six pillars on Human Rights, Modern Slavery, Health & Safety, Diversity & Inclusion, Colleague Development and Supporting our Local Communities.
Governance
We have implemented comprehensive corporate governance guidelines, policies and standards that are regularly reviewed. These include, for example, codes of conduct for employees and suppliers. Through annual compliance training, we have developed a strong culture of risk awareness in all our units, supported locally by specialised teams.
Technology as a driver
Over the past decade, innovations have impacted our business model. Parking, mobility and urban living are increasingly interconnected. Electric cars and e-charging, the introduction of ANPR systems and cashless payment options, micro mobility and digital smart city solutions are just some of the new developments. And our sector will evolve even further in the future.
